As development land becomes increasingly scarce, it is common to find sites for new housing and other developments to be prone to suffer from hazards linked with poor ground.  Sometimes these conditions will require specialist foundation techniques which can make construction expensive and cause delays.  The question that needs to be answered in such a situation is ‘how deep will the foundations need to be and how much will this impact the total build cost?’

Before committing yourself to purchase land or before foundation designs are prepared, you should consider instructing a specialist to undertake a site investigation.  Investigations can range from a walk over survey, to one requiring a number of deep exploratory boreholes.  Your selected specialist or structural engineer can advise on the extent of investigation for a given site.

A site investigation report will identify such concerns as contamination, weak or aggressive soils, levels of high ground water and risks of landslip.  It will also identify variations across the site.  These could lead to unacceptable or different levels of settlement and areas requiring consideration when building near trees.

With the benefit of a technical report, sometimes including soil sampling and laboratory analysis, your structural engineer will prepare an economic design giving you reassurance that budgets for ground works will not be exceeded.

Fill in the form above to instantly receive a set of contact details for people who specialise in Soil Analysis Site Surveys so you can make contact directly with them and discuss your requirements in detail.  Before appointing a supplier and placing an order it is wise to check for yourself that your chosen supplier has the right level of qualifications and experience to provide the service you require

Feedback from our Customers

We ask all of Customers to give us feedback. These are some of their comments:

I arranged a structural inspection of a set of internal walls I was planning to remove. He was punctual and very professional and thorough in his work. I needed the report earlier then was agreed and Walid was happy to accommodate. I would highly recommend Walid to my clients.
Sharif, London
Phil and Elaine were very efficient, polite and friendly. Elaine arranged things and Phil and a colleague came to the house. The price of the survey was very good value compared with other quotes I got - we arranged we could be flexible about the price and decide on the extent of the report we required depending on the results. This felt good. We were also told that if we had any advised work done within 15 days of the quote, that the supplier would take the sum we'd paid for the survey off the cost of the repairs. We were given a date for the survey within a few days of making initial contact, and Phil and his colleague offered a friendly and efficient service. Altogether, I would definitely recommend this supplier to my friends.
Nicky, Bath
Very quick response to my enquiry, which was much appreciated as we had limited time in UK, being resident in Spain. Report emailed the week following the survey.
Susan, Fenland
Work was carried out in a professional and friendly manner with the minimum of inconvenience.
Terry, Torquay
Responded very quick great service. Appointment made at my convenience brilliant
