Quality of service :  Took a number of weeks to get the information required for the gallows brackets requested as part of the survey. Initial calculations worked on a Span of 3.15m for a room that is wall to wall 3.6m so incorrect. Final calculations also included an 89mm wide steel beam for a wall that is 225mm wide, so not adequate at all. Requested some further clarification on information given for the Gallows Brackets as they didn't seem to include vital building regulations information and never received a response.
Value for money :  Requested 2 steel beams and gallows brackets information, ended up receiving 1 valid steel beam calculation, 1 beam calculation that is completely inadequate and had to be scrapped and gallows brackets information that was missing vital information.
Professionalism :  Took an extremely long time to reply to emails and poor communication.

Promptness of response :  Very prompt initial contact and arrangement to view the property to perform the survey. However failed to attend on planned day and did not contact me to say he had failed to attend. I only found out when the vendors estate agent contacted me to find out what was happening. Impossible to contact on phone, his office were unable to provide an update. Eventually contacted via email, promised to carry out survey the following day and to send me the report a couple of days later. Report did not arrive as promised and had to email to chase, arrived after prompting.
Quality of service :  An in-depth report was provided eventually, which highlighted important issues with the property.
Value for money :  Not the cheapest or most expensive. I would have rated higher if I hadn't have had to chase multiple times.
Professionalism :  If you make an appointment you should keep it. If you can't keep it you should let people know, with a revised date.

Value for money :  He was the only surveyor I spoke to who listened to what I wanted (a joint inspection with me and verbal report) and was willing to tailor his service to my needs. This reduced the cost and gave me a far more thorough inspection than I would have got from many "standard" services costing far more.
