Quality of service :  Despite it being recommended in the property survey, we weren't sure whether to get an electrical condition report done or if the surveyor was just covering himself. After finding out from the vendors that the electrics had not been safety checked, at least post 2005 when this had to be done by an electrician, we decided to pay for the condition report mainly for reassurance. We were very glad that we did, as there were a number of potentially unsafe issues that have since been addressed by Richard (and the vendors who kindly paid for this work).
Value for money :  Richard's was one of the cheaper quotes and he subsequently and promptly provided a very detailed report of the condition of the electrics.
Professionalism :  My dealings were mainly with Richard's wife who manages his diary. Claire made the process very easy and everything was done as planned. Richard phoned my husband following the inspection of the electrics, to let him know the outcome, including that he had arranged with the vendors for the repair work to be done the following week. The report was an official one and very detailed. Richard responded very promptly to some queries I had regarding the report.

I had spent a very uncomfortable Saturday with unattractive and inefficient storage heaters. Chilly and miserable. I am new to the area and I was also new to the situation I was in. I was feeling sorry for myself. I did a bit of a Google search. It I can put it this way, I metaphorically stuck a pin in my laptop screen. I found myself speaking to a lady I now know as Claire. She was a tonic! She said her husband Richard was very familiar with the situation I had explained to her. He would call me when he got home from a job he was working at that time. ( This was a Saturday evening and she expected him I to be home around 8pm) Not your average worker I thought. We had a bit of friendly banter with me saying he must have a meal and be comfortable before he called me back. I wasn't going anywhere! I think on reflection this may be where the time has become a little confused. Before Richard had a chance to visit my home I visited a neighbours flat and liked the look of her heating. Its not appropriate to say the name of the other company but suffice to say I had a visit from their salesman within hours, but I was not at all impressed. That same day I called Claire back and said I would be so pleased if Richard would visit my home after all. So we arranged a time for Richard to call - I think on the Monday. He arrived punctually, in fact early, with a courtesy call asking if that was convenient. I was impressed with the information he gave me and I said I would like to go ahead. He consulted with me throughout the ordering process and kept me informed the whole time. All the equipment would all be available in a day or so and he would be able to set it all in place for me on the Thursday. I was so pleased. I am so pleased with the outcome. Richard and Claire have been warm and kind from the moment of that first phone call. They are more like friends. I know them as a family. I am now very comfortable in my lovely warm home. Richard even went the extra mile and moved my TV for me. That involved some juggling with the leads. I would not have had a clue what to do. Richard took it all in his stride. I so hope you can use this as an endorsement of my high opinion of Richard and the work he carried out in my new home.
