Quality of service :  If I were you I would dis associate from Cliff Kirk-Brown. He visited my property on 24th February to report on problems with my garage conversion as I am in disagreement with my builder. He spent 3 hours at my property, told me that the workmanship was very bad and promised a report within the week. This time came and went and following several emails, texts and phone calls from me over 4 weeks with constant promises from him of sending the report it never materialised. I made clear in the beginning that I needed this quickly to resolve problems with the builder. He said he could deliver. I am now being threatened by the builder with court action because he wasted my precious time. I am very upset and stressed that he can do this.
Value for money :  I did not get any value for money as cliff kirk-brown promised something that he cannot deliver. He just wasted my time and will now cost me more time, money and stress trying to sort my building problems another way and dealing with threats of court from the builder.
Professionalism :  There was no professionalism as he never replies to any emails or texts. He makes constant promises of the report when you can get him on the phone, but it seems this was just to fob me off. It is not professional to promise a report, then to keep promising a report within a timescale and not deliver or not even let you know what is happening. I undertook to prepare a defects report on the customer's property following some building works undertaken, and as part of my report, I undertook to make enquiries with Building Control to ascertain if they had completed all of their inspections and had any concerns. It took some time to receive a reply. In the meantime, I was told not to proceed with my report due to the length of time taken, so I stopped work on it. I was later contacted by the customer's father to proceed with the report; however, I had deleted the files and photographic records as they were not needed. This was explained to the father.

Quality of service :  He turned up for the appointment to review the property. Spent an hour and then left promising to deliver the report by Tuesday of the following week. The report didn't arrive and still hasn't a week later. He has not responded to any communications since. It is like he has disappeared. Truly poor service and he has in fact inconvenienced me more than he has helped me
Value for money :  No end product and he just disappeared. A complete waste of my time and effort.
Professionalism :  Truly lamentable conduct. He has put me behind two weeks in my process and his behaviour has been neglectful and not at all professional.

Avoid, this is not a professional surveyor and from a full structural survey it took just one hour and and a half for a three bedroom house and failed to report important damp and structural issue with a clear slope on one of the bedroom. Now he just says "sorry about that" and he has not replied to any email or call since then. Mediocre and unprofessional surveyor avoid.it is just a waste of time , money and has left us with financial losses.

Quality of service :  Although prompt in carrying out the survey itself, in line with the 7-day undertaking made on his website, we are still waiting for the report itself 4 weeks later. I have chased up by phone and email to which I was told by Cliff that he thought he had emailed the report already. A full day later and still no document.
Value for money :  The phone feedback after the survey was useful and it sounded like Cliff had done a good job. However, without the full written version, I cannot yet obtain estimates for the repair work it is clear needs doing, nor can I go back to the vendors with comments.
Professionalism :  Cliff needs to give an undertaking as to when to expect his written report, not solely a promise about carrying out the survey.

Cliff visited site and dealt with the simple one swiftly, however there is a slightly more in depth agreement with one neighbour. Cliff has simply gone missing, he does not return either my email or phone call, my neighbour has heard nothing despite repeated promises from Cliff and our agreed start date with Cliff has now been missed on three seperate occasions. We are no further forward today than we were 6 weeks ago. This is disappointing and has left us not knowing what we should do next, we are simply sitting here at a loose end at Cliffs whim.

Quality of service :  I was very happy with the service I received. The report is clear and concise without too much technical jargon. The photographs make clear the works requiring attention. My one small gripe is that my emails are not acknowledged. I suspect I need to phone with queries rather than email.
Value for money :  I thought the fee was very fair for a building survey. It covered all my concerns and I now feel reassured with my onward purchase.
