Promptness of response : They had to return to the property because they could not gain access the fist time, however they carried out the survey within a week and sent the survey to the solicitors and myself promptly. The survey is comprehensive and clear even giving advise on what the solicitor and myself should check over and above the detail findings of the survey. I would recommend this firm.

Promptness of response : Email quote came back almost immediately and the survey inspection was arranged for the same week
Quality of service : The survey was completed and we were told to expect the report within approximately 5 working days but it took another week which was initially a bit stressful but it was worth it once received
Value for money : We nearly didn't bother getting a report at all but then initially decided on the basic homebuyers report. In the end though for the sake of the extra £100 we decided to get the full structural survey done and we're so glad we did as we found a problem with the roof which we would never have known otherwise. The report was very detailed and provided everything we needed to know and more. The surveyor is extremely knowledgeable and after the report was received we arranged a follow up call to talk through some of the more technical points which put our mind at rest. We also got lots of advice about the ongoing future maintenance of the house and when we should expect to need to start replacing things. It was definitely money well spent.
Professionalism : I would definitely recommend using this company. James was very genuine and happily talked us through everything we needed to know.

Quality of service : The survey was conducted in good time and contained all a varied and detailed report that i agreed with. There was an issue with the survey being roughly 3 days later than he promised but i believe this was down to factors mainly outside his control.
Value for money : I think the cost of the report was about right compared to the other quotes.

Promptness of response : Mr McLachlan responded very quickly to our enquiry, was clear about the terms and the cost of his service, and surveyed the property in question only 4 working days later.
Quality of service : Mr McLachlan was entirely self-sufficient during the survey process, making his own enquiries with the estate agents to arrange access and collect keys. He gave a full verbal debrief to us immediately after completing his survey. The report arrived around 10 days later and was very comprehensive.
Value for money : We paid £360 for a homebuyer's report. We were very happy with the price and quality of service. Despite being based in the north west of England, he was completely unfazed by travelling to the property location, nr Anglesey.
Professionalism : Mr McLachlan was friendly and helpful throughout the process. He responded promptly to all and any enquiries. We would happily deal with him again.

Quality of service : We didn't get much follow up in that we didn't know if he'd managed to contact the owner or if a date was set. After a few days I phoned to ask him and he explained it had been difficult to pin down the owner but that a date had finally been set in the following week. Which was fine, although I suppose my only comment would be that there was very little follow up. Neither James nor the chap that conducted the survey kept in touch to say when it was going to be done or that it had been completed but maybe I'm an over anxious buyer.
