PCL Surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. All surveys are carried out by Steven who has over 30 years experience of surveying and designing buildings. He is licenced to carry out both RICS Homebuyer and Home condition reports and is a RICS registered valuation surveyor. He will personally discuss your requirements and once you have received the report, be pleased to discuss any queries you may have.
Questions to consider/ask before appointing any surveyor:
What is the claims record of the firm.
Be aware that those firms who are pleased to contact you and offer discounts, may not be as helpful or accommodating when things go wrong and you try and claim against them if they are negligent.
Who are you instructing. Some firms only have one office, hundreds of miles away. They simply pass on their instructions to local surveyors for a fee and will not be liable for any report produced. Find out who your contract is with, if things go wrong.
Will the actual person be doing the survey be licensed to carry out the type of survey being provided and a registered valuation surveyor.
You are buying a service not a product.
