Value for money :  A few things I had expected to be included (e.g. photos in the report, allowing me to visit the property at the same time) were unfortunately subject to extra fees. I hadn't known that photos aren't automatically included in the report and this was not made clear before agreeing to the job so I was quite surprised to receive a survey that had no photographic appendix. As for wanting to be present during the survey, this would have cost an extra £50 for a supposed 30 mins of the surveyor's time! Not many other surveyors charge for this, as I understand. Despite these complaints, the survey report was indeed detailed and contained a lot of useful information that we weren't aware of before.
