Your Survey is an independent network of Chartered Surveyors covering the UK offering residential surveys. Our Surveyors are able to provide advice on all property related matters.
Once you have entered the property details into our website you will be contacted by our sales team. They will discuss your details and provide you with the best price using our local Chartered Surveyor. All of our Surveyors are members or fellows of RICS and have Professional Indemnity Insurance.
If you are happy with the services discussed by our sales team we will take care of everything. We will contact the vendor or estate agent and arrange the access to the property for the surveyor. We will ensure that all correct details and concerns are passed to the surveyor before inspection. We aim to send all reports electronically within 3-5 working days from inspection

Quality of service : They were very keen to get my money and sent across a blank form requesting my signature and date. The form did not contain the address of the property that needed the survey. The surveyor they used was useless. The report was inaccurate. Just to give an example - they said the boiler was in the cellar but it was in the kitchen. The surveyor only spent 5 minutes at the property and even then it was to talk about football with the vendor. I've done a Google search on the surveyor they use and im not surprised. Before getting the report and finding out about the surveyor, I recommended a friend to this company and they were given the same surveyor. They pulled out because they also found the same reviews online. I've emailed requesting a refund.
Value for money : Can't go wrong with charging £300 for making things up!
Professionalism : I've asked them for a refund and yet to hear back.

Quality of service : Unfortunately the soonest appointment they could do was 18th August and we were only told the date after paying the money upfront. As of today we had no feedback as to whether they attended or not and no sign if the report so I emailed them earlier to be told they aim to have the report completed within a 5-10 day window slot and it will be emailed to me. I am hoping I should therefore receive it within the next 3 days.
Value for money : Haven't received the report yet.
Professionalism : Never heard from them after paying the money online apart from a text message saying 18th August had been booked in for the survey and to complete and return a form, which I did.

Value for money : I still have to sign a document on my phone,and send it to them before they send my report to me. I am having trouble doing that as I am not tech savvy. It is inconvenient for me as I have to go to the library to print the form. Sign it, then post it back to them. A paper letter sent by post would have been better for me.
Professionalism : It would have been nice to be asked if I wanted all proceedings done by email, as with no computer or printer, I found it difficult. I paid my money, but still have no report to look at, holding up my decision to purchase or not.

Value for money : I was asking and paying for a Building Survey and I found out that they hired another surveyor to do the job. And I found out that the surveyor didn't even check the loft. I can't call this a Building Survey but just a Home Survey. As I know a Building Survey should check the loft too. I am disappointed.

Quality of service : The photo on the survey's front page was not the house I am buying? It's a little disconcerting that the picture doesn't represents my house!! Statements have been made around various topics but no photographs have been supplied to give me a clear indication of the state of the house. Guttering Roof Windows Damp proof assessment We did ask for particular refence on these areas. Some statements have been given with standard photos, not of the property but stock photos. Again providing actual photos would have been most helpful. As I'm moving from Kent into a completely new area Colne it would have been appreciated to get a clearer picture of the house. Your company was meant to be my eyes and ears for the state of the house. I made it pretty clear that I was looking to get as much of a clear guidance of what is actually needed to provide me with some confidence that I'm going to buy a good working house. I feel this survey doesn't give me a good idea of the condition of the house, it seems to cover yourself on most topics, advising to seek further guidance from other trades. Moving into the area finding tradesman could prove difficult.
Professionalism : Did not provide enough evidence on certain items. Photos would have been appreciated on main items eg roof, damp course, guttering, windows. We initially asked for these specifically. Not enough detail.

Promptness of response : We used localsurveyorsdirect.co.uk on June 20 & received a phone call from this company on the same day. They gave us a competitive price & said they had surveyor appointments available the following week, so we signed up with them. We later found out from the vendor that the earliest date this company could do our survey was not the following week but was infact July 7. We feel mislead, & as our vendors are very impatient,had we known there were no earlier appointments available, we would not have used this company.
Quality of service : We were satisfied with the quality of the surveyors report. However, the vendor of the property, who was present when the surveyor visited asked how long the report would take. He says the surveyor told him he would send the report the Tuesday after he did the report on the Thursday. So our vendors have been expecting the survey since Tuesday 12 July. They have been getting very impatient with us, so we chased the survey up with the company, only to be told it can take 5-10 working days to complete. This mixed message has caused friction between the vendors & ourselves (as they presumed we were deliberately delaying things) After having to chase the report with the company twice, we finally received it on July 20 (the full 10 working days from when the property was visited) As it was only a home buyers survey, not a structural one we did think this timeframe was excessive. However the most frustrating part was the fact that the vendor was told the report would take only 3 working days, when infact it took 10 working days. The house buying process is a stressful one anyway, but we feel our dealings with this company have made it even more so, & could put our sale in jeopardy.
Value for money : The survey from this company was competitively priced, & we were led to believe it would be professional & prompt, when in fact we feel totally misled by both the person who initially contacted us, & the surveyor who told our vendor incorrect information.
Professionalism : As covered in my previous comments. We are very disappointed & dissatisfied with the service we have received from Your Survey Ltd. This is why I feel compelled to reply to this feedback form. Hopefully this company can learn from our experience so other homebuyers do not have the added stress we have experienced, since instructing then to do our Homebuyers report.

Quality of service : A lacklustre level 3 building survey report. We are very disappointed with the service provided by yoursurvey,. Prior to the survey being carried out and on the day of the inspection I called Yoursuvery and asked them to instruct the surveyor to take pictures of problem areas, that did not happen. The surveyor missed/ did not notice/ mention the crack on the front of the building by entrance porch. We noticed it on our 2nd visit. They is no mention of the external pipe work. Does not talk about the driveway conditions. A cowboy surveyor, so bad we have had to rebook another survey from a different firm. We will also be seeking a refund.

Promptness of response : Kelsie was really good at helping me to get to the point of making the right kind of booking on the best terms for me. We were under time pressure and got a survey booked for the day after the date we requested, which did add extra stress to our situation. Casey gave me a clear explanation of how this was allowed within the small print, even without my prior knowledge or consent. I'm not fond of this kind of small print. Fortunately, in this case we did not lose the house, because of the kindness of the vendor and estate agent, but we could have. We expected the report within the 5 - 10 working days we were told, but it was received after that, even with Casey chasing it for me. It was good service, overall, polite and helpful, perhaps I was just too stressed by the minor dissapointments to be as gracious as I should be.
Quality of service : I rang the surveyor on his mobile, on the 11th working day, and he was surprised that we had not had his report, he apologised and gave a possible explanation. He gave me very helpful information and advice over the phone. The report arrived 3 days (but the next working day) later. I am no expert, but I was impressed and happy with the report.
Value for money : It was the best quote for price, and possibly the quickest a report would be with us, even with the delay(s)
Professionalism : My idea of professional would be to solve the problems and give the customer the best possible experience and not hide behind the small print, however I did agree to the small print. We did not lose the house, despite the delay(s), but we were stressed. Adrian, the surveyor impressed me and I thought he was completely professional in his dealings with me.

I used Your Survey, they stated surveys take 5 - 10 days but expect quicker. Surveywas done on 11/03; I receivedreport today. The application process requested - please state any major concerns. I stated I felt the ground floor was a little spongy/ springy in a couple of areas, knowing the surveyor could not lift the flooring other than in special circumstances, but I would have liked the surveyors opinion on this. The 18 page report, 90% was generalblurb, non-specific to the property, however no comment other than report on building structure , cavity wall, roof etc. Floor: Solid concrete.Very unwise £520 spent.

Promptness of response : Promptness to arrange survey and take money was flawless. The date from the survey was completed to when we received was terrible.
Quality of service : Sent a email on day 8 of their stated 5-10 working day turnaround to receive a short email stating that they had another two days to send over. When the survey eventually came through (one day late) it had been completed a week earlier????
Professionalism : A well worded email with an update or apology for late delivery would have helped with the opinion of their company. As a developer and due to have many more surveys completed in the future I will actively avoid YourSurvey.

Promptness of response : Very efficient and fast service. I had an appointment for my survey within days of my enquiry. The surveyor sent my report within 48 hours of the visit.
Quality of service : From start to finish I was very pleased with the service. My initial questions were answered by a team member during a telephone conversation with knowledgeable responses explaining the process clearly. The surveyor wrote a very comprehensive, detailed report and he was happy to answer my queries over the phone. He gave me the reassurance that I needed at the time, as well as being very friendly and polite.

Quality of service : The 'Report' was entirely based on probability and conjecture, and reasons why Adrian Robinson could not carry out a proper and useful survey, rather than the results and proof and professional service I paid £410 for. I would have expected a more detailed, individually tailored and illustrated report, with photographic backup, rather than the non-specific, generalised proforma of a report which I received. The main defect I was worried about, which I identified prior to the survey was totally ignored. I certainly will not be recommending your services to anyone, quite the opposite in fact, and to as many platforms as I can find.
Value for money : The survey was Cheap, but useless.

Quality of service : We got a building survey done which was 4 days later than the maximum time it should have taken. I also asked on the phone to try and ask for it sooner than the 5 working days due to a circumstance which they said to me that they would try. Instead it took 9 days and we had to chase it up. The report was very basic. We have had homebuyers reports done before which were in much more detail than this building survey.
Value for money : Would have gone elsewhere if I had known the report wouldn't have been done in the time scale given. So no.
Professionalism : I received an email when complaining about the service that one of the workers shouldnt have told me on the phone that the report was late and it would be taken up with the management. Unprofessional and made me feel responsible for getting a worker into trouble who was just stating the truth.

We chased up several times, on occasions they failed to respond to either e mails or phone calls. We finally received the report this morning, after chasing again yesterday, almost twice as long to deliver as promised. If they had quoted a longer delivery time, we wouldn't have minded, they perhaps should have been more realistic. The main issue was the lack of communication when things weren't going well. Again, we would have preferred an honest conversation, rather than either being fobbed off or ignored.

Quality of service : I agree that the service to arrange my survey was excellent, however I was very surprised to discover that I could only access my survey report by printing off a hard copy agreement and endorsing a 'wet' signature. Surely this is 20th century? My wet signature has no provenance or continuity, whereas my electronic signature has complete provenance and continuity and is far more more secure in every aspect. In addition to provenance, continuity and security; printing paper is antiquated and very harmful to the environment. Printing a single sheet and signing it may seem insignificant, but multiply that by the billions of sheets of paper that are being printed every minute around the world and it isn't difficult to understand why we are destroying rain forest at an alarming rate. Please, please look into this and eradicate unnecessary printing of paper.

Quality of service : Once survey was paid for there was miscommunication as to the date it was being carried out. Once the survey had been carried out and the quoted time frame for it to be sent to us had passed we had to chase it up no less than 4 times, being given different excuses (lies) each time, it took a further 10 days to receive the report.
Value for money : The survey does not go into any depth on in any area or answer many of the questions it is supposed to. As we paid for a full survey which is meant to provide estimates of repair/correction costs, urgency of items that need attention, improvements for energy efficiency etc none of which are in the report produced.
Professionalism : Apart from contradicting information and what ultimately was revealed to be blatant lies from various office staff everything else was dealt with in a professional manner.

I had to chase twice for the report and when it did arrive I might as well of asked the option of a bloke down the pub for its usefulness. When I then raised a complaint they didn't ask why and just passed it down the line to the surveyor, who obviously got the hump with my comments. With hindsight I should of gone with a surveyor who I could of talked to before and afterwards, Your Survey Ltd. are just middlemen.
Value for money : The price was competitive but I should of paid another £100 to get the advice of a surveyor I could of first talked to.

Promptness of response : They responded quickly, and said they had availability that week - but in the event they didn't book until the following Monday, and then the Surveyor failed to turn up until the Thursday after.
Quality of service : I've been disappointed throughout. The delays mentioned above only came to light when the Estate Agent called to tell me that the Surveyor hadn't come on the appointed day or the day after. There was no apology when I got in touch, just a promise that the report would be turned around more quickly. In the event it was a day later than even their stated target, taken from the (unexplained, un-apologised) delayed survey inspection. The Survey shows no acknowledgement of my specific queries (two of the three happened to be covered in the text, but the third completely ignored: I know for a fact that the house next door has been underpinned because of an earthquake some years ago. I told the Surveyor this, but his report says nothing of it. I even arranged for the neighbours to allow him access to check any impact on the property, but as he didn't turn up on the agreed day, that was wasted). The terms of agreement say there will be photos - there were none.
Value for money : Cut and paste descriptions of dry rot etc are of no value to me: I know what they are. I had hoped that the Surveyor would have more at his command than a damp meter. I see little point in paying for a report which tells you no more than your own eyes can see, but purports to be a detailed report.

Quality of service : The survey report took 10 days to receive. Admin staff were contacted by email and phone, and whilst they did respond and follow up, there was no satisfactory outcome. I was under the impression from the website that they were a countrywide company and the surveyors were their own. It was clear post survey that the surveyor was an independent, that they had as much trouble getting a response from as I was having.
Value for money : Given that the delay could have easily led to extra legal costs, I do not consider this service value for money.
Professionalism : As mentioned above, the staff were helpful and, if to be believed, they said they were chasing but the overall outcome was disappointing.

It then took four days for us to be advised that the survey hadn't been done. Completely unacceptable. Caused delay when we were on a tight timescale anyway.

Value for money : It would have been good value if the job had been carried out properly.
Professionalism : Your Survey Ltd's only response to my complaint was to pass the email on to the surveyor, who didn't respond. I complained again and had the same response but nothing has been done to put this right. As I booked this through them I hold them responsible for making sure that the job was carried out properly. They have failed to do anything to remedy the mistake. I get the impression that both the company and the surveyor are ignoring me in the hope that I will go away.

Quality of service : After a good first impression we were quick to discover that Your Survey did not follow through and lacked communication and any disregard for heir customers. They were due to complete a survey and it never happened which I was unaware of until they called me the follow day at 430pm to tell me that the surveyor ran out of time the day before. Why we were not informed on the day that this was the case in my opinion is very bad customer service, they left it until the end of the followIng day where I was unable to source an alternative until the following week.
Value for money : They were one of the better priced companies but on hindsight when they don't do the job they are paid for then they are very bad value for money, I'm currently still waiting for a refund as we'd paid in full in advance as they requested, they were unable to get us booked in until 10 days after our booking initially and then a rescheduled appointment was offered but I had lost faith in your survey by this point.
Professionalism : They could have kept us up to date but instead they didn't communicate with us that the survey would not be completed on the date arranged.

When I rang up to ask why I was again receiving the quote when payment had already been made, they said they had no record of it. Finally after checking my receipt and by me giving the name of the person who dealt with me I was told they were new and had made a mistake. I was then told my survey would be booked with priority because of there mistake. However it was booked over a week later so their poor service delayed my building survey by two weeks!
Quality of service : After the first problem the next was that the surveyor they recommended to me would not respond to emails or phone calls which did not inspire confidence. I had to instead ring Your Survey with my query and hope for the best.
Value for money : I have yet to receive my report and have had to chase Your Survey constantly I feel I am due compensation for my time and stress that they are causing me.
Professionalism : The survey was finally carried out on the 11th as far as I'm aware as I received no confirmation that it was carried out successfully. I was told the report would arrive 5 working days after completion. I waited until the 18th before I emailed asking where my report was. The email response said I should receive it no later than the end of business the next day. As you can guess I did not receive it the next day and rang Your Survey at 6pm at which point I was put on hold and then told- "sorry you should'nt have been told it would be ready today. It's been typed but the surveyor needs to check it before we send it out to you, you should receive it by tomorrow evening." Needless to say that also didn't happen. It is now the 21st June and I am still not in receipt of my report. I feel you should remove this company from your recommendations as they are incompetent and very unprofessional. Buying a house is a time when people are under very tight time constraints and this has added unnecessary stress to my experience. I can only hope that I receive the report today and that it is a comprehensive report but I don't hold out much hope. A very unsatisfied customer! Lauren Saunders

Some responses are unclear, for instance the section on interior woodwork is either stating doors and windows need attention now or might not till later. Not clear equally if it states windows have been replaced or not. Error about dedicated offroad parking, it is round the back.

Due to the unexplained and unjustified delay of my survey, I lost the property I was so keen to purchase hence rendering the £400 survey I payed you for, useless. Conditions I was told where as such that the survey will be prepared and delivered within 5 working days, as per your Terms of Engagement (Paragraph 3, item 3.1) the survey will be delivered on the date agreed. I chased your company up on numerous occasions to find out the progress and situation of the survey, not once was I informed that there where any circumstances that would lead to a delay. Furthermore on 27/09/17 I made what was the third phone call to your company requesting the survey, I was then informed I would have it by the end of the day or at latest 28/09/17, it took another 2 phone calls on the 29th; 2 days after the agreed time, to get the survey, by which time it was too late. It is for these reasons I expect a full refund and/or a free building survey on the next property I wish to purchase.

Promptness of response : After numerous calls to chase my survey I finally received it 2 days late, by this time the vendor of the house had decided to accept another offer. As the service I payed for was not provided I have been in direct contact with Your Survey Ltd to seek reimbursement. I have sent 2 emails of complaint and have yet to receive anything but a reply to say it has been forwarded to there manager.
Quality of service : Your Survey Ltd have failed to provide any service to meet my requirements, the survey was to be delivered in 5 days and it wasn't. It clearly states in the Terms of Engagement; Para 3, 3.1 The report is to be delivered by the date agreed or at such later date as is reasonable in circumstances. I was not informed at any point of any circumstances that would lead to a delay, furthermore I am still to receive any explanation what so ever.
Value for money : As I have paid £400 for a survey that was late, losing me the property that it was intended for, I would have to say I have had zero value for money, the survey was useless by the time it was delivered.
Professionalism : I consider this whole situation severely unprofessional. If nothing comes of this feedback report, I regret that I will regard Local Surveys Direct in the same light.

Promptness of response : They called within a few minutes of the online enquiry being made and offered a reduced fee to undertake the work.
Quality of service : Initially slow to confirm the date the survey was to be done. Advised they could arrange the survey the week following the initial enquiry. When I heard nothing from them I called as to the status and was advised they had been unable to speak to the estate agent as all calls went to their answering machine. Within 24 hours of my call, the survey had been booked for 2 weeks time - a week later than originally advised it would be. The date was confirmed as 26 July but the date of the inspection as stated on the survey report was 2 days later than this. Survey report provided within 48 hours of the survey being completed.
Value for money : First time I have used such as service and the fee charged was comparable with others who responded to my enquiry.
Professionalism : For most of the time yes - sometimes telephone enquiries were dealt with in a less than encouraging manner after such a professional initial call.

Quality of service : I am very dubious about the quality of the survey; I employed an expert to give me an expert view. I have no confidence in the survey and don't think I have received the service I contracted for. There are a large number of issues highlighted, many are superficial and many appear taken from a template and included just because they are on the list. Gas is referred to but there is no gas at the property which just erodes my confidence. Two really significant issues; the oil tank was described as un-bunded and not compliant. I drove to the property (2 1/2 hour round trip) and looked at the tank which clearly has 'bunded' moulded into the end tank. Damp was also raised as an issue but the description was very ambiguous and the readings not given. Given the age of parts of the building I expected more detail and expert advice. All of this has complicated the purchase as we raised issues with the elderly vendors which now seem to be unfounded.
Value for money :

Quality of service : Homebuyers survey was carried out on 20th and I would have hoped that I'd have the report by now. This case happens to be particularly urgent and this has been noted by the provider. It's only been two days since the report was done so under normal circumstances I would not have expected the report to necessarily have been prepared by now but as this is an urgent case, it would be most impressive if the provider could have provided the report by now hence acknowledging the urgency and acting on it. This would have set the provider apart and given me a very good reason to recommend them again and it would demonstrate that they listen to us.
Value for money : The quote I accepted was the cheapest and priced fairly - no complaints. However, as soon as I accepted and instructed the quote I had 2 further companies email me offering the same service at considerably lower cost. This I found very annoying. I instructed the case that offered what I thought was the best value only to be undercut which begs the question "if it could have been done for less, why wasn't that figure on the table for me to select?" Dual pricing is a no-no in my book and this left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Professionalism : No complaints there. My emails were responded to promptly and (so far) everything has worked well.

Quality of service : Although the staff started off very helpful. There was a 2 week delay from a sloppy error made by both the company and the contracted surveyor. The surveyor didn't actually conduct the survey but marked it as done on the system. I called to confirm this and was told the survey had gone ahead. 7 days later when I chased the report, I was told the surveyor didn't attend and he ticked 'done' by mistake on the system. I then had to wait another 7 days for him to conduct the survey and another 5 days for the report delaying everything.
Value for money : They were reasonable priced. Lower than all competitors which is what attracted me. It's a shame I was provided with a poor service.

Building Surveys, Salford, Lancashire, Sharon - April 2017Quality of service : I booked and paid for the survey on 20th March with the appointment to be carried out on the 30th March as arranged between them & Purplebricks (Estate Agent) – there was a note put on the instruction that the surveyor was to contact the agent for access to the property. On 30th March at approx. 14:30 I was contacted by the agent to say she was still waiting for the surveyor to contact her to enable her to accompany him to the property. The vendor lives in Spain and has a house sitter but he is not involved in the sale of the house and all dealings with the property are to go through the agent. Your Surveys contacted the surveyor whilst I was on hold with them to discover that he had ignored what was on the job sheet and just attended property alone – thus upsetting the vendor, the estate agent who had waited all day for his call and myself for causing unnecessary tension to all parties involved. After that blunder by the pair of them I then waited for the report – which on all the e-mails they have sent me and as also stated on the website – aim to issue between 3 to 5 working days. At the end of day 6 – Friday 7th April – I e-mailed Yoursurvey asking for confirmation when the report would be sent, reiterating how poorly them and the surveyor had performed to this point already. I had still not received a response to my e-mail by midday day 7 – Monday 10th April – even though the office is open on a Saturday, so I tried to phone the office. The phoned was answered and once I had given my name and address the phone was disconnected, I then had to try a further 21 times before someone answered the phone – allegedly they had an IT failure just as I happen to phone to complain. I was assured I would have the report by close of business that day but lo and behold the report was still not sent because now the surveyors car had been broken into and all his notes and laptop – with said report – had been stolen. I don't know anyone who would actually leave their laptop in their car or anyone who doesn't upload their documents to either the cloud, an external device or to a shared drive. You will forgive me for being cynical and questioning both Yoursurvey and the surveyor's integrity but the above does read as a comedy errors and a complete and utter shambles on both their parts. They have both put the purchase of the property in serve jeopardy – the vendor and estate agent quite rightly think I am being difficult asking for access for another surveyor as I didn't get the result I wanted from the initial survey – although to be fair they are both aware of the ineptitude and amateurish behaviour of them. They have issued a full refund – please be aware I am extremely unhappy with that conclusion as I now have to instruct another surveyor and wait for them to issue their report although they couldn't possibly be as unprofessional as they have been over the last few weeks. They seem unable or unwilling to deal with the situation they have caused and seem indifferent and oblivious to the angst of this situation – sorry does not cut it for the fiasco they are responsible for.

Promptness of response : Your Survey was very prompt in contacting me initially and to take payment. However it was 2.5 weeks before the actual appointment, and a full month between booking to receipt of survey.
Quality of service : The survey took too long to arrive. In fact we were ready to exchange contracts when the survey did arrive, meaning that anything it picked up was almost too late. The quality of the survey did not meet our expectations, and we queried a few items directly with the surveyor who took ages to respond, the responses still being poor.
Value for money : Although the survey seemed good value for money, after receipt it did not really pick up anything in addition to what I had picked up myself. Overall I would say my money was wasted.

Value for money : Not once was I told that a valuation of the property was an extra £150!! A valuation is an imperative part of a full building survey!!

Although I would like to question has the report overestimate the market value of the apartment, I chose to stick with the result of the professional.
Value for money : The details of the report were rough but were acceptable with this price.
Professionalism : The first time when they claimed the reported was sent it did not arrive, I suggested they can change a different type of delivery service as I believe a tracked service cannot be much more expensive than a first class mail. The main reason why I do not feel that they were professional was mainly the report wasn't signed in the signature column. The reason I urged them to send me a second hard copy of this report is because I would like to see a signature of the report. The soft copy they send me does not have a signature, which is understandable. But in the hard copy they send me I cannot understand why isn't there a signature. I paid the price for a professional surveyor to carry out this report and I do not hope some random people to write bluff to me. Moreover, I felt unfair when they were chasing me to send them my signed contract to them when they don't even sign in the signature column of the report before returning it to me.

Quality of service : the report was deemed invalid. it was as though the surveyor had written about a different property. it was a copy and paste job. very basic examples: he claimed there was no allocated parking. the house has a drive and has two allocated parking spots. another example is he said it was an old boiler non combi. the house has a combi boiler. there are around 12 examples i can send over to you where he has made clear errors. the report contained no photos. He also changed his valuation aby £25k after i queried it for evidence. only after sending very rude replies to my emails.

Quality of service : The survey was booked for 30th November, I had no further contact with them until 6th December when I chased up, via e-mail, getting the report. I received an e-mailbavk saying the survey was done and the reports took 3-5 day. As this was the Monday I assumed it was 3-5 working days. On the 8th December I received an e-mail stating that in fact the survey had not been carried out at all and the surveyor hadn't let them know. The service was shocking, communication needs to improve dramatically and they should have chased the surveyor on the Monday when I first queried the report.

Quality of service : The surveyer spoke at length with the seller regarding the price of houses in the area, even looking on zoopla together, he then valued the house next door, which was mid terrace without a conservatory for £280,000. But the value he gave me for the property - end terrace with conservatory was £275,000. The only grade 3 items on the survey were for electrics and gas, the electrics was based on the fact that it needed an RCD and so did not meet requirements - when I put this to the seller she said the RCD had been put in in 2014 and sent a picture of the receipt, which was in the electrical box, and also a picture of the box that clearly states that it is RCD.
Value for money : I found it extremley embarressing to go to the buyer to negotiate a new price, using the electrical issue as my main negotiating tool to find that the survey was incorrect - It then meant that the buyer and agent did not take the valuation seriously and to be honest I am having to consider having another accurate survey done.
Professionalism : THe communication was very poor - I had to phone to find out the date that the survey was being done, then I had to phone again to chase up the report only to find that there was a terms and conditions letter that had to be signed which had not been emailed - surely this should have been emailed to me before the surveyer went to do the survey on the property!

I was provided with an email address to contact the surveyor directly as I had some points to raise with him, but he didn't respond, and when he finally read my email upon his arrival at the property he decided he was unable to do the survey based on the additional points I had raised. He did not attempt to call either myself or my husband to discuss these points, nor respond to the email I had sent him.
Quality of service : Since the surveyor did not contact me about the additional points I had raised, or do the survey, we were left £400 out of pocket and with a 2 week a delay in the purchase of our house. Your Survey Ltd only made one attempt to contact me about the failed survey visit, so it wasn't until I was contacted the following day by my estate agent that I was even aware there was an issue. I was then advised that the surveyor was not qualified to undertake the survey because of the additional questions I had asked - the surveyor that we did end up using had no issues with these extra questions so it begs the question as to whether or not the surveyor who Your Survey Ltd had instructed was adequately qualified for the job. I was then told by Your Survey Ltd that the surveyor would not go back to the property to undertake the basic survey for which he was instructed, and that it would take a further week for them to instruct a new surveyor to visit the property. The overall lack of communication and service has cost me a further 2 weeks in rented accommodation which could have been easily avoided if the surveyor and Your Survey Ltd had been more professional in their approach.
Value for money : Although the £400 upfront fee which I paid was returned, hours of my time were wasted in dealing with the issues I had and the 2 week delay has cost me more in rent since the house purchase has been delayed as a direct result.
Professionalism : Even the complaints I made to the Directors of Your Survey Ltd were met with a poor level of customer service and no attempt was made to resolve the issues favourably.

After further contact with Your Survey throughout the week, still no response to my questions. The week after made contact yet again with Your Survey who again advised that they would contact surveyors colleague, as the surveyor who had done the survey was now on annual leave for 8 weeks. Email received from Colleague on the Monday night who advised he would be in contact at his earliest convienience, however a week later I again chased for a response. A response finally arrived 2 weeks after initial contact. Thoughout the two weeks I felt Your Survey were not particularly that interested and I was constantly fobbed off.

Promptness of response : I was initially impressed with the way this compamy handled my call and got a surveyor to the property very quickly and the surveyor's report was sent through. However,this report was not signed, I thought that this was a genuine mistake and I phoned your survey to get the report signed and sent back to me, despite phoning on least 6 occasions the report has still not be signed. I was given an email address of the surveyor to contact and there has been no response to this. I was told that I could not have a phone number. The report has still not been signed, I explained that this in my mind's eye makes me wonder whether the report is actually valid and whether I need to do another one. It also makes me wonder whether the company I was referred to is actually a bonafide company. In addition, the lady I spoke to last advised that she would send a complaints form which she has never sent. The company indicated they would use a local surveyor,this surveyor was not local. I used tbis company because they had the availability that I needed as well as due the cost and reviews they had, as well as the fact that they indicated they would be using a local surveyor and the fact that they were RICS surveyors. I am extremely disappointed with the treatment that I have received and feel that this outweighs my initial impressions. Surely a surveyor who is professional would act in a professional manner. Having seen this company on your site, I thought they would be reliable. As a result of these issues, I have selected neither agree or disagree. I would not use this company again and I would not recommend this company to anyone else.

Value for money : I do not feel I was given value for money as the report that was given was not signed by the surveyor which would give the impression that it was not valid or that the surveyor did not want to put his signature to because it did not fit the bill. If the email itself that had tbe report attached had come directly from the surveyor this could have gone some way to quelling my doubts but the report was emailed from Your Survey and they are not as far as I am aware qualified surveyors.

Quality of service : They basically denied a service advertised was available. The operator I spoke to9 could not be less interested. This lack of interest in doing a job of work, advertised as available in this service has cost me a court case and a lot of money which means I will be finding any and every way I can to demonstrate how little trust can be had in this company which can be said to have little effect in policing the companies that advertise through it to the public. YOU can NOT be trusted to provide a professional as you claim to be able to.

Promptness of response : I used them twice, both times they used the same surveyor who took over a week to survey the property and then 2 further weeks to send the report. They never returned calls when i contacted them.
Quality of service : They clearly advertise on their website that they use 'surveyors who reside in the local area' however the surveyor was based in Cheshire, hundreds of miles away from Rugby where the properties I was purchasing were. Appalling that even after i complained they used the same guy the next time. They should be reported to trading standards!
Value for money : Price was very good which was why I went for them, but in future it is worth paying more and getting better service. They surveyor was hopeless to contact, wrote a vague report just asking to get further reports, took ages to do so and was quite rude in the process.
Professionalism : Ive said it all in the other comments. I got no level of service whatsoever and pulled out of 2 property purchases based on the slowness and poor quality of survey. Do not touch with a bargepole would be my recommendation.

Quality of service : When I booked them, they got into action very efficiently - their keenness to obtain payment so rapidly unsettled me a bit but they organised a survey very speedily. In fact they conducted a survey the following day (Saturday).

Quality of service : I wan't dissatisfied with the report but the time from initial contact to receiving the report was 3 weeks. I waited a week for the date of the survey and had to push for a booking before I would release my debit card details. I was quoted 3 to 5 days between visiting the property and receiving the report on the 5th day I called to check whether I would receive the report on that day and was assured on at least two occasions that I would. I did not receive the report and had to chase them. I received it the following day but I suspect this was because my email was quite strong.
Value for money : I didn't feel like the report was over priced. But given the time I waited for it I question when it would have been happier with a slightly more expensive speedier one.
Professionalism : They were never rude but I think the professionalism could have done with some improvement. I had to chase and didn't feel like I was getting my queries dealt with. I requested confirmation of the appointment for the survey which I never received, and there was information I felt I was not informed of i.e. that I needed to sign before they would release the report, which they said they would forward to me and I had to chase. Apparently this was sent to an incorrect email address, my name was spelt incorrectly despite me filing out my details and sending this to them via email. I following my strong email I did receive an apology and within this apology via email it was mentioned that they tried to call me a couple of times to apologise personally but I had no missed calls. I appreciated the apology but felt that this was normal for them.

Quality of service : Good service however I was never put directly in contact with the person actually undertaking the survey even to just confirm they were the person doing it and when it had beena arranged to take place. I had to chase up answers to those questions, as well as a confirmed report delivery date and not just the generic within 5 working days.

Promptness of response : took the money immediately but ignored specific instructions re: only to send paperwork as hard copies as couldn't access emails or print at that time. Caused no end of trouble.
Quality of service : They ignored my several phone calls and two subsequent ones and a letter to the MD asking for problems to be sorted out. They have also ignored two requests for a copy of their complaints procedure.
Value for money : The survey took over two and a half weeks to get to me which caused us extra expense as unable to renegotiate price based on faults in the house since it was too close to exchange. Has cost us dear.

Then on enquiry after not hearing for two days I rang and was told and given receipt it would be Carried out another week after that on the 22nd. Again after not hearing again for a week after this date I rang and was told it had only just been done on the 29th. This is totally unacceptable as I am going to Australia this Saturday and have still not received anything. I will not be using them again and would not recommend to anyone as they just seem to tell you they can do I quickly just to sign you up and take your money which they did very promptly.

The survey was also carried very quickly, but then it took over a week to receive it, even after calling 6 times to find out where it was and being promised each day that I would receive it.
Quality of service : The survey I received was excellent, but it took a lot of chasing by me to actually get it sent out to me.
Value for money : VERY good value for money
Professionalism : I had to call 6 times to chase up the survey as it had not been sent to me. I was promised call backs on 3 occasions which I never received. I felt like I was being "fobbed off".

Despite the fact they give you an email for 'any questions' they don't want to actually answer them once the survey has been carried out and they have your money.
Quality of service : I paid for a full buildings survey, but it was full of assumptions and gave me no more detail than the free mortgage valuation survey my mortgage provider sent me. An amateur could of provided me with the same report.
Value for money : It was a complete waste of money as it told me absolutely nothing. It was all assumption and no detail.
Professionalism : Emails were ignored and the questions I sent through asking for clarification were responded to rudely and unprofessionally. They clearly don't like to be questioned, but they also clearly don't like to provide any actual detail in a survey.

Promptness of response : Was a week late with issuing my report. Took two weeks to provide me with a report. As a result of this slow response and lack of information in the report the purchase of a property has had be delayed, costing money for another survey and damaging buyer seller relationships.
Quality of service : Content of report - My concerns over the STRUCTURAL integrity of the property were not address. Appeared to perform a home buyers survey instead of a buildings survey. I was also told by the property owners that the surveyor only took 20 minutes to perform the entire survey. The lack of useful information in this report has led me to have to have another survey performed to asses the same issues. There was also no mention of clear features that should have been commented on such as a leaning gable end. Presentation - The report was issued as an open word document, this is very unprofessional. The general quality and presentation of the report was also severely lacking.
Value for money : I have to have another survey done at the same cost due to inadequacy of this one.
Professionalism : Report was issued over a week late with no explanation as to why. The report was also issued as an open word document which is highly unprofessional.

Was also promised a phone call day after but as of yet am still waiting even though I chased them up Thursday with an email (no reply) and Friday with a phone call (was told surveyor would phone back) Still have no results, don't even know if property has been surveyed. Not happy, mortgage is waiting on outcome. Won't be using again, nor recommending!
